Career Conference: Sign-ups are going on now for the Students of Color Career Conference. This is a great opportunity to be inspired and learn about different careers. Please see Ms. Sather in the career center. First come, first served. (3/22)

Field Trip Opportunity: For juniors and sophomores - March 26th is the Spring College Planning Day at Western Washington University. You will get a chance to attend your choice of presentations from different colleges and take a tour of Western. Please sign up in the Career Center. (3/22)

Attention Seniors! We need your pictures for the Graduation slideshow! One baby picture and one senior picture. Pictures need to be at least 2 ½ inches x 3 ½ inches. Larger is better! Put your name on the back of each picture. All pictures must be given to Ms. Baird in the main office today by 2:30. (No exceptions!!) Pictures will NOT be accepted after today. (3/22)

SENIORS: Deadline for your senior project completion and project paperwork is March 29th

Class Rings: It is time to order your official Lakewood High School class ring. Jostens will be here today during lunches in the cafeteria. Complete order packets are available in the main office. (3/22)

Scholarship: If you are planning on attending the University of Washington next fall, please see Ms. Sather in the Career Center for a scholarship opportunity.

If you are sick, please do not call home. Go to the nurse’s office and she will make the arrangements.

Softball: Maddie had 3 hits and Jennaka 2 hits as the varsity softball team beat Archbishop Murphy, 3-2. Hailey pitched the victory as the varsity improved their record to 3-1. The girls play Granite Falls at home on Monday.

In Track and Field action yesterday, the boys and girls team both won handily over Archbishop Murphy! The girls score was Archbishop 61 and Lakewood 87, and the boys score was Archbishop 42 and Lakewood 92!! Highlights included Ariel Jensen’s win in the 400 meters where she not only set a personal record of 61.23 seconds but now leads the league, the district and is ranked second in the State! Ariel also won the 200 meters and anchored the winning 1600 meter relay team. DeAsia Callanan won the Long Jump in a league leading distance of 15’ 9”! On the boys side, Andrew Stich won the 300 meter hurdles in a league, and district leading time of 43.24 seconds. Andrew also won the 110 meter hurdles! The Cougar track and field team is in action again next Thursday at Kings.
