1 / Review of last meetings notes.
Budget & Year End deadline dates .Next Bursar Conference Wed 7th December.
BACs
BACS Processing is now available in FMS for Nat West banking. Michele had been advised by Capita that online banking was not acceptable due to lack of audit trail.
Katherine Vernon to check with Karen McEnbeck in Schools Finance .
All bursars agreed that they would like training on the BACS process.
Katherine will be visiting SouthlakeSchool on 16/7/12 to look at the BACS process .

3 / Payroll User group meeting
Agreed that One bursar from the cluster will attend the user group meetings. ( excluding Jo Griffiths as Farley Hill do not use Selima)
Lynn Mapleston agreed to attend the next payroll user group meeting. Katherine Vernon to advise of date.
Michelle Teale requested some training notes on Payroll. Katherine Vernon offered to send notes produced in Sept 2011 to Michelle.
It was agreed that best practice on amending SIMS when someone changes their hours, was to enter a brand new contract rather than amend the existing one.
Note that Bursars are now responsible for informing Selima when staff have been employed longer than 5 years. / LM

4 / Schools Finance Update.
Katherine advised that Budgets for schools were now in WISE. Insurance journals would be corrected & all schools have done their final CFR closedown for year 2011/12.
5 / Cluster Funding
Lynn & Nicola currently hold the funding for the cluster. Extended services cluster funding will be the responsibility of a different bursar every 2 years.
Nicola will be raising an invoice to each school for £500 , and will be highlighting this with head teachers at the next ES meeting. / ALL

Licences
Michelle asked which licences should be on display in a school. It was consensus that Employer Liabilty should be on display.
CRB. Discussion around CRB checks took place. Ofsted has advised that if there was no break in service, there was no need to renew the CRB for staff every 3 years.
A question was raised on new starters that were previously employed by WBC. It was discussed that there was a form available from WBC that could be sent to a previous employer.

Michelle requested an email to state that her 8% clawback was accepted. / KV
