2.1 The panel agreed to recommend approval of the BA (Honours) Business Management and Innovation programme at UCSA, from September 2013 for 6 years, subject to satisfactory annual monitoring. Any significant changes will require approval in advance. Periodic review will take place in the 2018/2019 academic year.
2.2 Approval is subject to the following listed conditions. A satisfactory response by UCSA to all conditions of approval, accompanied by a completed form AQ4, must be lodged with the clerk to the event () by 14.06.13 (ready for the Conditions Meeting on 21.06.13). The response to conditions will have to be confirmed as satisfactory by the panel before their recommendations can be ratified by the University’s Academic Board. Students may not be registered on a University programme until approval is confirmed in writing by the Vice-Chancellor.
Standard requirements:
2.3Production of a Programme Specification and Definitive Module Documents (DMDs) that have been approved by the HBS Associate Dean of School (Academic Quality Assurance) on behalf of the School and which reflect the comments documented in appendices D and E and elsewhere in this report. (4.1)
2.4That both module and programme external examiners are to be appointed and replaced as and when necessary. (9.1)
2.5That all relevant legal arrangements relating to the programme are to be finalised, including the Memorandum of Agreement. (9.2)

Recommendations
The panel made the following recommendations:
2.7That a mechanism is put into place to elicit employer feedback at the end of each year to gauge the relevance of the programme. (4.2)
2.8That the team considers the on-going staff development opportunities in Learning, Teaching and Assessment, at UH and at Oaklands. (5.1)
2.9That the team reviews the strategies articulated at the event to be employed to foster team cohesion and mutual understanding of the wider curriculum. (5.2)
2.10That the team considers the best ways in which they may ensure that the Oaklands LRC is available at suitable times for students on this programme. (7.3)
Recommendations are to be addressed within the next Annual Monitoring and Evaluation Report (AMER) for the programme.

2.1The panel agreed to recommend approval of the MSc Finance and Investment Management at INTI International Colleges Subang and Kuala Lumpur from January 2014 for 6 years, subject to satisfactory annual monitoring. Any significant changes will require approval in advance. Revalidation will take place in the 2018-2019 academic year.
2.2If the commencement of the MSc Finance and Investment Management exceeds 6 months from the approved start date January 2014 then INTI will need to confirm to the Hertfordshire Business School that resources remain in place for effective programme delivery. If the commencement of the MSc Finance and Investment Management exceeds 12 months from the approved start date then the University reserves the power to call for a fresh validation event to be undertaken at the expense of INTI.

2.10To monitor the allocation of research supervisors and address any on-going staff development needs in relation to postgraduate supervision (paragraph 5.2 refers).
2.11To consider ways of strengthening communication to the student body of actions taken in response to their feedback (paragraph 8.4 refers).
Recommendations will be addressed within the first Annual Monitoring and Evaluation Report (AMER) for the programme.
