Dorset County Council – Re-launch of the Parish Maintenance Units (PMU’s)

The Town Clerk received a letter from the County Council relating to the re-launch of the Parish Maintenance Unit Service on 1st July 2010. The reason for the re-launch is to raise the profile of the PMU’s as some Parish and Town Councils have not been fully utilising this service. The principle reason for the service is to deliver planned non-urgent highway works requested by Parish/Town Councils. The service has also been extended to include Public Rights of Way works and works that may be ordered on a rechargeable basis e.g. parish hall car parks and community areas etc. (copy attached)
