A SENATE RESOLUTION
TO COMMEND THE HONORABLE JULIUS MURRAY OF RICHLAND COUNTY FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY AND THE STATE AND TO RECOGNIZE HIM ON THE OCCASION OF THE UNVEILING OF THE SIGN DEDICATING THE INTERSECTION LOCATED AT THE JUNCTURE OF ATLAS ROAD AND VETERANS ROAD IN RICHLAND COUNTY IN HIS HONOR.
Whereas, the South Carolina Senate is pleased to note that the signage dedicating the intersection located at the juncture of Atlas Road and Veterans Road in Richland County in recognition of the Honorable Julius Murray has been unveiled; and
Whereas, born on March 23, 1938, the Honorable Julius Murray is the son of Dozier and Sallie Murray; and
Whereas, he earned a bachelor of arts from Columbia College of Missouri and has long been a wellrespected and outstanding citizen of the Midlands community; and
Whereas, together with his beloved wife, Gertrude, he reared three fine children; and
Whereas, from 1979 to 1983, he served the citizens of South Carolina House District Number 70 with distinction as a member of the South Carolina General Assembly; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate, grateful for his longtime devotion to the betterment of his community, take great pleasure in expressing their thanks to the Honorable Julius Murray for his distinguished career of public service and wish him continued fulfillment and success in the years ahead. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, commend the Honorable Julius Murray of Richland County for his service to his community and the State and recognize him on the occasion of the unveiling of the sign dedicating the intersection located at the juncture of Atlas Road and Veterans Road in his honor.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to the Honorable Julius Murray.
