CrazyTalk™ Version 2.5 Released with
Enhanced Image Quality and Smaller File Size
Las Vegas (CES) – January 8, 2002 – Reallusion, Inc. have released an upgrade to their internationally acclaimed product, CrazyTalk™. Version 2.5 adds several enhancements to simplify photo animations and produce professional-grade output. Version 2.5 will be demonstrated in the Intel booth (#331) at the 2002 International Consumer Electronics Show.
CrazyTalk™ is an innovative and easy-to-use software tool for creating speaking animated characters from any digital image. CrazyTalk™ achieves this without the use of additional hardware or software. CrazyTalk™ is unique in enabling users to easily and quickly produce animations from any single digital still image. Using CrazyTalk's improved Fitting Editor, animations of the eyes and mouth appear more natural. As with CrazyTalk 2.0, users can animate an entire face, allowing the photo to ‘come to life’ in the animator’s own voice or a synthetic voice based on Microsoft's Text-To-Speech engine. Users can even import wave files of famous speeches or other voices to be ‘spoken’ by the animated photo. (Users should obtain written permission for the use of copyrighted images or sound files.)
Enhancements to CrazyTalk™ version 2.5 include:
· The addition of automatic ‘Sub-Divisions’ to CrazyTalk’s Fitting Editor. This process greatly improves the natural look of animated eyes and mouths.
· Textured and shaded mouths for a more natural effect.
· CLEP (MPEG4) compression for smaller file sizes of created animations.
Once created, CrazyTalk™ messages can be sent as HTML mail, as an HTML attachment, an AVI file or as a self-running .exe file. Users concerned about downloading or sending .exe attachments with their emails due to the recent spread of viruses can now safely send their messages using the HTML option.
Beginning January, CrazyTalk™ will be demonstrated on Intel Pentium® 4 processor-based PCs at Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, Gateway and Micro Center stores. Through Reallusion’s involvement in the Intel® Early Access Program for the Intel Pentium 4 Processor, CrazyTalk™ has been optimized to take advantage of the Pentium 4 processor's advanced capabilities.
