Job Title: National Sales Manager

Responsible to: SMT

Job Summary

To support and motivate a sales team to build and maintain relationships with key employers. To identify and build relationships with national, regional and local employers. To proactively work with employers across all locations and contracts to ensure Standguide becomes a recognised recruitment and skills partner of choice. To develop a new strand of the business involving in work training courses for employers.

A key part of the role will be to link our funding streams and services across contracts to offer the best training and recruitment solution to employers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

·  Manage a sales team, ensuring they sell our range of business services to employers across all of our contracts and delivery regions.

·  Achieve and exceed agreed monthly targets in line with the company business needs.

·  Carry out monthly performance reviews with staff and set targets in line with company objectives.

·  Responsible for engaging with employers and recruitment agencies and bringing in volume opportunities to the business.

·  Work with employers to develop a consistent source of jobs, placements, work trials, in-work training opportunities and commercial training.

·  Monitor the company CRM database to ensure all sales activity and vacancy submissions are updated daily. Develop and manage CRM reports to support sales team management.

·  Responsible for the co-ordination and analysis of sales team KPIs across the company, and the embedding of an employer account ethos.

·  Work with SMT, Managers at all levels and sales team to develop an appropriate and detailed company Sales Strategy for all contracts.

·  Develop the sales team through training, support and delivery of the sales strategy

·  Ensure full compliance, with all company procedures, policies and statutory requirements.

Other responsibilities

·  Be conversant and ensure full compliance of all company policies, procedures and statutory requirements with particular reference to Health & Safety (including Safeguarding), Equality / Diversity, ‘Access for All’, Discipline and Grievance.

·  Ensure premises are kept in good order, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements.

·  Be prepared to work at other locations to share good practice and cover absence as necessary.

·  Prepare, deliver or participate in any appropriate learning or development programmes or courses as required by the company; this includes any staff meetings.

·  To maintain continual professional development.

·  To carry out all duties and responsibilities, whether specified above or otherwise, in a manner that will at all times promote and support the company’s objective of achieving continuous quality improvement in all aspects of its business.

·  Be flexible in relation to working location throughout ALL areas where Standguide operates.

·  To undertake any other duties in line with the company business needs.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Sales Manager

ESSENTIAL / DESIRABLE / HOW ASSESSED
1. Education & Qualifications / ·  General education to GCSE standard or equivalent
·  Willing to complete Literacy and Numeracy at Level 2 / ·  Degree or equivalent
·  Recognised Sales Qualification / Application, Certificates and Assessment
2. Knowledge & Experience / ·  At least 5 years’ experience in B2B Sales.
·  At least 3 years’ experience of managing and achieving sales team KPI’s / ·  Experience of delivering across a variety of contracts.
·  Experience within the skills and training industry / Application and Interview
3. Skills & Abilities / ·  Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
·  Target orientated and sales driven individual.
·  Effective motivator of people
·  Ability to liaise with internal / external agencies and companies.
·  Experience of effective networking and partnership building.
·  Experience of managing a sales database.
·  Computer literate, with a knowledge of CRM systems, reports and Microsoft packages
·  Must be highly organised and time management focused with an ability in prioritising tasks / Application and Interview
