US Human Capital Transformation Leader

As the U.S. and West Cluster Transformation Leader for Human Capital at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Anne Donovan is responsible for human capital strategy and innovation leading culture change through a variety of initiatives related to the work environment, such as work/life flexibility, the business model and workforce demographics. Anne has strong expertise in operational effectiveness and in engaging and supporting the firm and its people in leading positive change.

Coupled with her expertise, Anne has builds and drives innovative solutions to complex issues affecting leader, team and organizational effectiveness. She anticipates market trends and prepares for people-related implications. Anne helps the firm navigate organizational change from start to completion -- identifying key issues, designing solutions, executing on plans and assessing their outcomes.

Anne leads the firm’s Flexibility2 initiative that is changing the firm’s business model by injecting more flexibility into the culture, while meeting changing business needs. She is a recognized expert in understanding the next generation of workers speaking on the topic at numerous events, including the Great Place to Work Institute’s annual conference. Partnering with the University of Southern California and the London Business School, Anne led PwC’s NextGen global study – a look into how Millennials view and impact the workplace. Anne also works closely with PwC's global network of firms to share best practices and drive greater consistency and efficiency to support PwC's global human capital strategy.

Anne’s deep knowledge of human capital issues draws upon her 30 years of experience at PwC where she has held diverse roles across client service, operations, diversity and firm strategy. Earlier in her career, she joined forces with PwC's Office of Diversity to create and develop the Black Professionals Forum, an annual leadership forum to acknowledge and address the challenges encountered by minorities at the firm and within the profession. She later adapted the concept to create the firm's first-ever Latino and GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender) forums.

Additionally, Anne created the Diamond Program, which provides career path architecture for PwC's highest performing minority senior managers and directors. The program increases connectivity among participants and provides unique opportunities for personal and professional development.

A 1983 graduate of California State University, Northridge with a BS in Accountancy, Anne resides in Los Angeles with her twin girls, Grace and Kathryn.
