1.AIM

To appoint a multimedia professional to rework an already existing video for integration onto the CITB-ConstructionSkills NI website.

2.BACKGROUND INFORMATION

2.1Introduction

CITB-ConstructionSkills NI is funded by a statutory levy from registered in scope construction employers. CITB-ConstructionSkills NI is a partner in the Sector Skills Council for Construction, ConstructionSkills and provides a range of services to the industry. This incorporates identifying training needs, encouraging and advising on training, provision of training grants and research and policy development.

2.2Background Information

A video was produced in November 2011 to help demonstrate how to claim our training grants via the CITB-ConstructionSkills NI website.As part of this process a professional voice over was procured in order to enhance the images with a step by step guide on how to claim.The video was shown to a small focus group of employers.

This video was produced internally and before it can be integrated onto the website it needs a multimedia professional to rework the existing content.

3.THE ASSIGNMENT

CITB-ConstructionSkills NI have a pre prepared video (3mins 40 seconds) promoting their training grant scheme and how to claim online.

This video has been developed using high technology movie software and has a full professional voice over added. The video needs further improvement in order to be of suitable quality for the website. The organisation are now seeking a multimedia professional to re work the video for public display on the website

3.2Requirements

For a multimedia professional to use the existing voice over and create new video graphics to emphasise and illustrate the content of the voice over.

To incorporate a further option of additional filming of the CITB-ConstructionSkills NI teams at work integrated into the overall video.

The service provider is asked to provide pricing for this project to include monetary costs and number of days this will take.

3.3 Specific Outputs

The specific outputs expected from this project are:-

A short briefing with CITB-ConstructionSkills NI before commencing the project.
Review of the video with recommendations and quotation by 1st June 2012
Commencement of work with option to view before sign off 15th June 2012

3.3Selection Criteria

Please demonstrate your experience relevant to this particular project or companies submitting a tender must demonstrate they have the resources in house or through subcontracting to undertake the assignment outlined, specifically:

A Multi Media professional and have proven experience of producing videos for online display.
Please provide a total cost for the project. All project costings should include number of days, VAT, travel costs and expenses, if applicable.

3.4 Budget

The anticipated cost for this assignment is £2k.

3.5Payment

To be invoiced on sign off of the completed project by CITB-ConstructionSkills NI.

3.6Award of Contract-Evaluation

Evaluation of the tenders received will be based on the ability of the supplier to undertake the assignment outlined in the specification, selection criteria and the price
