Just Goes to Show How Important It Is to Get There on Time

Mano…Mano…Mano…What a hotly contested round of golf we had at The Dunes. Congratulations to Manuel Tsirmiris (42) who won this months round on count back (scratched one hole) from his ‘Koumbaro’ John Gerantidis (42) who scratched two holes and Nick Markogiannakis (45 less 3 point penalty = 42) with two scratched holes as well.

Since the 3 point penalty rule only affects the monthly competition, Nick’s score of 45 will stand for the end of year comp.

Just goes to show how important it is to get there on time.

2006 GOGC Stableford Championship:

George Findikakis – 8 rounds (268 stabs) with an avg. 33.5

Nick Markogiannakis – 7 rounds (265 stabs) with an avg. 37.9

John Siarabalos – 8 rounds (260 stabs) with an avg. 32.5

If Nick keeps up with the way he is playing, he’ll be getting very close to wrapping up the yearly trophy.

2006 Pairs Competition:

We are at the Grand Final stage, with Michael (Deep Heat) Houdalakis and Peter (Rub my back Houda) Paras versus Paul Cotsomitis and George Findikakis. Great to see that these boys played the first round and lost, however they were the BEST loser so therefore qualified to the next round where they kept whipping everyone’s butts, which eventually has put them into the Grand Final round.

2006 Match Play Comp.

We have one more Quarter Final round to play and that is between Con Nikakis and Paul Cotsomitis. In the 1st Preliminary Final we have George Findikakis versus George Lymbouris, while John Gerantidis who’s in the 2nd Preliminary Final waits to see who will win the Quarter Final to see who he’ll be facing.

Its great to see both Paul Cotsomitis and George Findikakis playing so well this years as they figure in most of the intra competitions within the Golden Olive Golf Club.
