To provide financial assistance to aid ASMC members in continuing educational endeavors, and to encourage ASMC Aloha Chapter members' continuing education programs.

§  Applicant must be a member or corporate member designee in good standing of ASMC. Applicant must have been a member for a minimum of the two full consecutive years immediately prior to the submission due date.

§  Applicant must be entering or be in a business or resource management field of study relating to military comptrollership. (business administration, economics, public administration, accounting, finance, etc.)

§  Applicant's justification of desired educational outcome will be the key factor in selection.

§  Applicant must have two signed letters of recommendation from (1) Organizational Manager, Personnel/Training Officer or Supervisor and (2) Academic Institution Official on official letterhead or in official email.

§  Applicant must show active participation in the local chapter at some level (board member, committee chairperson or member, volunteer for chapter events.)

§  No member may be selected more than four years.

Nominations must be submitted on the official ASMC Members' Continuing Education Program form and completed in its entirety. If any of the requirements are not met, package will not be considered or returned.

A selection panel will review all applications received and make final recommendations to the ASMC Aloha Chapter Board, who will approve the final award winners. All notification will be done in April. Checks are mailed to the recipient in June once a college acceptance letter has been received Selection will be based on individual merit and other criteria outlined above.

The ASMC Aloha Chapter may provide an award of vary amounts based on the submissions. At the National Level, ASMC will provide up to eleven grants annually, ranging from $1,250-$3,000.

The ASMC Aloha Chapter must receive applications not later than March 13, 2017 to be considered by the selection panel. No exceptions to this deadline will be allowed.
