7:15 - 7:20 - Explain Program

  • Tonight’s program is an opportunity for the chapter to decide which one of your elected leaders has the most programming prowess. Over the last week, every member on board has been working hard to develop a creative and fun activity for each of you to partake in. Bragging rights are on the line, and after doing every activity, you will vote on who deserves the PROGRAMMING BELT OF AWESOMENESS! Everyone will be divided into 5 groups and will rotate between the programs. There willbe 2 heats of programs, and after each heat, you will congregate in the foyer to vote on your favorite for the round. The winning program of each heat will then be up for best program, and the chapter will congregate again and vote.

7:20 - 8:10 - HEAT ONE

  • ROTATION - OUTSIDE (UPSTAIRS) - KICHEN - FOYER - BASEMENT - BEDROOM - REPEAT

DANIEL COOPER - MELECH’S GOT BALLS - OUTSIDE

  • 0-2 - Arrange everyone in one line, everyone will have one chance to toss a tennis ball into a trashcan, anyone that misses is out for the round. Every rotation in line the can moves back.
  • 2-4 - Everyone gets back in one line and must roll a tennis ball through a set of cones from a distance. Anyone that misses is out for the round.
  • 4-6 - Everyone gets back in line and must bounce a tennis ball into an elevated trashcan. Anyone that misses is out for the round. Every rotation of the line, the throwing point will move back.
  • 6-10 - The 3 people to win each round will then get pie myself in the face with whipped cream.
  • SUPPLIES - Trashcan, 8-10 Tennis Balls, 2 Cones, Tarp, Whipped Cream, Pie Tins, Crazy music playing in the background (Amp / iPod)

JAKE SORRELS AND BEN CENTER - HISTORICAL MAD LIBS - FOYER

  • 0-1 - Pass out mad libs (pre-made)
  • 1-7 - Work on mad libs
  • 7-10 - Read mad libs aloud to group.
  • SUPPLIES - Mad Libs, writing utensils.

NATHAN AND HODIN - SHARK ATTACK - BASEMENT

  • 1-2 Explain program/split people into groups
  • 2-5 Give info about Sharks and then detail anatomy of shark
  • 5-6 Detail game to be played: i.e. Pin the Shark Parts on the Shark
  • Using Large Cutouts of a shark without parts labeled, each group will get sticky notes with names of parts of Shark’s on them.
  • First group to finish with all or more correct parts than the other group wins
  • Winning group receives a “Sharky” prize i.e. Shark shaped fruit snacks
  • Losing group IS a “Sharky” prize i.e. gets eaten by a shark
  • 6-9.30- play Game
  • 9.30-10-Hand out prize to winners, eat losers

JAKE ROMM - VERBAL COMBAT - BASEMENT

  • 0-1 - Explain to people that they will be competing in a rap battle
  • 1-3 - Have them prepare various rhymes from given topics (current events, the other’s apparel etc.)
  • 4 -10 - Battle

MATT, JESSE AND JB - SWORDS - OUTSIDE (UPSTAIRS)

NOAH BERMAN - CRAYOLA COLORING CONTEST - BEDROOM

  • 0-2 - Divide group into 5 teams
  • 2-4 - Assign each person per group a crayon and a page to color
  • 4-8 - Relay race: the first team to complete all of their pages wins. Teams must stay within the lines of their pictures at all times and use specific colors for certain parts. Winner will be determined on time, completeness and their ability to color within the lines. If time allows, teams will then create coloring books to be donated to a children’s shelter.
  • 8-10 - Award winner
  • SUPPLIES - Judaic coloring books, crayons, extra paper for coloring books to be donated.

ANDREW YANOVSKI - A MOHELS FANTASY - KITCHEN / SUNROOM

  • 0-2 - Divide group into teams of 3.
  • 2-3 - Pass out draft sheets and answer any questions (see attached draft sheet)

JEFF HILNBRAND - BUILDING DILEMMA - FOYER

  • 0-2 - Break everyone off into 3 groups. Give back-story…
  • Currently under-construction in Dubai of the United Arab Emirates, the tallest man-made structure is being built. They have recently been undergoing some construction issues and have asked you to create a new, smaller prototype tower. Your tower must have 15 stories, be able to withstand large wind gusts that are native to Dubai. You must also name your tower and tell us what would be in your building. A picture of each tower will be taken and the winner of all towers will be announced at the meeting on Monday.Good Luck.
  • 2-10 - Build towers, take pictures
