10th CONFERENCE OF THE SEECP PRESIDENTS OF PARLIAMENT

GENERAL INFORMATION

The 10thConference of the SEECP Presidents of Parliament will be held in Ohrid, in the framework of the Macedonian Chairmanship-in-Office of the SEECP. Ohrid is a major tourist and cultural center in the country protected by UNESCO andfamous for the beauty of Lake Ohrid - one of the oldest and deepest natural lakes in Europe.

DATE AND VENUE

The Conference will be held in the Diamond Hall ofHOTELINEX GORICAon 26-28 May 2013. The preparatory meetings of the SEECP PD Working Group will be held in the Golden Hall of the Hotel beginning on 26 May 2013. The draft Programme is attached separately.

REGISTRATION

Please fill and return the registration form not later than 2 May 2013 by e-mail:, orfax:+ 389 2 3113 643. The invited persons that will not be able to participate at the Conference are kindly asked to inform the organizer about it bythe same date.

Аt the conference table maximum of 3 seats shall be reserved for each national delegation with unicameral parliaments, 5 seats for the bicameral parliaments, and 2 seats for the delegations of the international parliamentary assemblies.

The other members of the delegation shall be seated in the row behind the heads of delegation.

ACCREDITATION BADGES

The Registration Desk will be located in the Lobby of Inex Hotel Gorica. Upon arrival, the participants will receive identification badges. For security reasons, the participants should wear the identification badges at all times.Then registration of the participants will take place on 26 May in the afternoon and on 27 May before the beginning of the Conference by 10.00.

WORKING LANGUAGE

The official languages of the Conference will be English and Macedonian.Simultaneous translation will be provided in the given languages. Delegations wishing to use another language are kindly requested to provide their own interpreters. Interpretation booths will be provided at therequest of the delegations, indicated in the registration form.

During the Conference,the official documents will be distributed in English.

SPEECHES

At the Conference, the expected length of speeches of the heads of delegation is 10 minutes. Please send your speeches to the Secretariat five days prior the event at:e speaking order (in alphabetical order of the speakers) shall be delivered subsequently.

TRANSPORTATION

The organizer will provide transport for the delegations from the airports to the hotels and vice versa, as well as other transport service necessary to serve the needs of the Conference programme.The Assembly arranges welcome at the airports upon arrival of each Delegation. VIP Lounge will be available for the members of the Delegations. The participants are kindly asked to inform the organizer if they will use transport organized by their Embassies.

The delegations arriving by vehicles are kindly asked to inform the organizer about the time of arrival, the border crossing, and the registration number of the vehicles.

The accommodation for the heads of delegation and for one member of the delegation (1+1) for two nights will be covered by the host organizer. The accommodation for the other members of the delegations and for extra nights will be covered by the delegations.

Please make the hotel reservations by 2May 2013and forward it to the Conference Secretariat. The indicated prices shall be applied only for reservations made by 2 May 2013. When making the reservation, the delegations should indicate that they will participate at the 10th Conference of the SEECP Presidents of Parliament.

The “first come first served” principle will apply.

LIAISION OFFICERS

After the electronic registration, each delegation will be appointed a liaison officer who will accompany the delegation during its stay.

BILATERAL MEETINGS

Rooms for bilateral meeting will be provided at the fist and second flourof the Hotel Inex Gorica. The Conference Secretariat and the liaison officers shall be in charge of reserving the rooms.

PRESS

Press Room will be provided during the Conference. The journalists wishing to follow the event should apply for accreditation in advance. The Conference will be openedexclusively to the accredited journalists.

DELEGATION OFFICIES

An equipped office space (with internet connection) will be made available to the delegations of the national Parliaments

MEDICAL SERVICE

Medical service will be available during the Conference.

CURRENCY

National currency is the MKD Denar(61.7Mkd = 1 Eur).

PASSPORT AND VISA REQUIREMENTS

Citizens from all SEECP participating countries need only a valid passport. Citizens of Republic of Moldova need a visa,in case of not possessing official or diplomatic passport.
