Spelling Menu

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights:

1.  Sort your words the same way we did in class.

2. Choose an activity on the back of this sheet to complete on lined paper, unless otherwise specified. Return the activity to school tomorrow in your blue folder.

3. You may do an activity more than once, as long as you do it with a different list of words.

Thursday nights:

1.  Sort your words the same way we did in class.

2. Ask an adult to give you a practice Spelling and Word Wall Test. You do not need to turn in the practice test.

Pipe Cleaner Words
Use pipe cleaners and bend and form to make letters used to write out 10 of your words. Ask your mom or dad to write me a note to let me know that you completed this activity. / CBA Order
Sort your words into reverse ABC (CBA) order and write them down. / Cheerleader Chant
Give me an S, give me a P, give me an E, give me an L, give me a L - what's that spell? SPELL! Ask your mom or dad to write me a note to let me know that you completed this activity. / Flower Words
Draw a flower for 10 of your words, 1 petal for each letter of the word.
Rainbow Write
Choose 3 different color crayons. Write each word 3 times, tracing over it with each different color you chose. / Lower and Upper
Write each spelling word with the consonants in lowercase letters and the vowels in uppercase letters.

Write each word 2 times. The first time, write the word with a pencil. The second tie, write the word with a pen. / Shaving Cream
