The tutor to participant ratio must be a maximum of 1:12 plus accompanying adults. The instructor must have the minimum of BCU or UKCC Level 3 Coach or BCU/UKCC level 2 with Moderate Water Endorsement and have an appropriate outdoor First Aid Certificate. UKCC Level 2 can operate on lake with own group if higher level coach is overseeing.
For Level 3 coaches and ratified Level 2 / UKCC level 2 coaches - only cross the lake if there are no white caps showing on the water's surface.
The Instructor shall have full responsibility for, and command of, the group and shall designate roles to accompanying helpers."
