SUMMARY OF WORKSHOP 2 - DATED 22 APRIL 2010
- Check in PIES - went through all the intelligences we will focus on which include the physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual.
- Leadership vision, need to know where we’re going otherwise our results will not change, whether you call it a vision, mission, dream, goal, purpose is irrelevant. The principle is to discuss whether you actually need one or not. Discuss the following principle:
- Do we have a vision?
- Do we need a vision?
- What are we going to do about it into the future?
- People to have their thoughts around the process and idea.
- Question asked to the group: If we do not pass on prices to our customers, how do we manage our profits going forward? Certain concepts and ideas that arose as a result of this concept was that:
- Food cost with the new menu will come in, including packing at 37.5%
- The new menu has a 4.5% increase in price
- Electricity will become an issue and we need to decide how we are going to manage it going forwards
- To do a financial review and decide what is required. Everybody forward their current income statements to Johan;
- A Panarottis model will then be updated according to these results which he received.
- Paper printing from Pilot is becoming very costly – are there alternative options and solutions?
- Everyone felt that Pilot was a general problem
- Each operator to forward a letter of the situation in their particular store to Johan.
- World Cup potential discussed.
- Cheese will be available during the World Cup in the event that we are exceptionally busy.
- Johan to send a menu food cost breakdown to all the stores. My guess is that thisis the menu breakdown and not the food cost.
- Drive turnover and sales mix and food cost will decrease.
- Preferred training methodology was discussed
