RE: Request for Proposal (RFP) for Phone Poll for <Project>

Dear Madam or Sir:

<Agency> has authorized and funded an initiative for producing a <Project> for the county to be completed by mid-to-late 2010. This initiative involves, among other things, a detailed phone poll that is to be undertaken between early <Time Frame>. The objective of the survey is to determine the Public's knowledge of and interest in participating in the <Project>, and to provide valuable information for preparing the Plan.

The phone poll must be random and the results must be representative of the age demographics of the community. In other words, the phone poll must be scientific so that we can confidently state that the results are representative of the residents of the county as a whole. We expect, that based on the population, the total number of responses will be in the 400 count range, and that each survey will take approximately 10 – 15 minutes to complete.

We would expect that each phone "poller" will be fairly knowledgeable of the County's initiatives so that they can respond to questions, and that the closed-ended results will be provided in spreadsheet format by the client. The draft phone questionnaire is herein attached; however, we welcome the client to provide suggestions for improving the content. You can also find important background information for the project by clicking the <Project> menu item on the following websites: <Pertinent Websites>

The RFP should include a brief description of your firm's qualifications for undertaking phone poll's, including your management capabilities, a list of completed public opinion polls, any specialized methodologies your firm uses, the contact person, the cost of undertaking the phone poll, a timeline, the scope of work, a description of the deliverable, and any other information you feel is relevant to this RFP.

If you have any questions regarding this project, please contact me at <Phone #>. Please send your proposal to us on or before<Due Date>, and direct your responses to:
