If you plan to attend one of the 11 portable sawmill workshops being held throughout New York and New England in October of 2012, please complete the following registration information and either mail it to NEFA, P.O. Box 2911, Concord, NH 03302-2911 or e-mail it to Charles Levesque, NEFA Executive Director at . Payment of $20 must be sent via mail to NEFA at the address above. Checks can be made out to “NEFA”. You will receive a hard copy of workshop leader Dan Cassens book “Manufacturing and Marketing Eastern Hardwood Lumber Produced by Thin Kerf Band Mills” as part of the fee.
Re: LUNCH – Bring a bag lunch with you – there will not be time to leave the workshop to find lunch.

From the junction of Rt. 9 and 308 in Rhinebeck, take 308 East to Salisbury Tpk (County 52). Make a right on Salisbury Tpk, then a right on Enterprise Road to Northern Dutchess Rod & Gun Club on the right side of the road.
From the Bull's Head Road exit from the Taconic State Parkway head West to Eighmyville Road, make a right, then bear left onto Enterprise Road. The club is on the left.

· as you’re coming down the hill into Petersburg bear right
· turn right onto Route 22
· follow Route 22 for about 4 miles into Berlin

· turn left onto Cowee Way (right after Hewitt’s Market, a “mom & pop” store on the right)
From the East:
· travel west on I90 to Exit B3, Austerlitz/New Lebanon
· turn right onto Route 22 and continue north for approximately 26 miles
· turn right onto Elm Street, right before the Bank of America
· turn left onto Cowee Way
From the North:
· travel south on I87 to Exit 6, Route 7 East
· excluding the first line, follow the directions from Albany
From the West:
· travel east on I90 to Exit 24

Travelling From the West: Take Rt. 2 East, Mohawk Trail, to Rt. 91 North. Take Exit 27, at Rt. 2 East.
*Follow Rt. 2 East, taking a right at the second set of lights. Go across the bridge; then take a left at the lights onto 3rd Street.
**Follow 3rd Street to the top of the hill. Bear left at the fork; follow signs for the airport. Travel 2 miles, taking a left onto Industrial Boulevard. Follow Industrial Boulevard for 1 mile; school is on your right.
Travelling From the South: Take Rt. 91 North to Exit 27, Route 2 East*. Follow directions as indicated in #1.
Travelling From the North: Take Rt. 91 South to Exit 27, Route 2 East*. Follow directions as indicated in #1.
Travelling From the East: Follow Route 2 West, travelling 3 miles past the French King Bridge. At the set of lights at the Mobile Gas Station in Gill, take a left into Turners Falls. Go across the bridge; then follow the directions in #1 from left at lights onto 3rd Street**.

The workshop will be held on Horsebarn Hill located in the agricultural area of the campus and the adjacent to the UConn Forest. Parking and signs directing participants to the workshop will be at the Horsebarn Hill Arena parking area located on Horsebarn Hill Rd in Storrs, CT. FROM I-84: Take Exit 68. Turn south onto Route 195 and continue for about 8 miles to the campus. Turn left onto Horse Barn Hill Road. The parking lot is next to the arena. FROM THE SOUTH: Take Route 195 north into the UConn Campus. Turn right onto Horse Barn Hill Road. The parking lot is next to the arena.
