USA Swimming Weekend
August 28-29th, 2015
Two representatives from USA Swimming will be joining the Nadadores our first weekend back for our Fall Season. Tom Avischious, Field Services Director for USA Swimming and Bill Krumm, Western Zone Sport Development Consultant will be running coinciding educational lectures for our parents and our athletes based upon age divisions. These talks are designed to be educational for all who are involved and we’re lucky to have this opportunity from USA Swimming.
The age group parent portion of the talks given by USA Swimming is the understanding of Process vs. Outcome as your athletes move along their swimming journey from a National Swimming Organization perspective and how that ties into our own Nadadore program. The coinciding athlete discussion by USA Swimming is working with their primary coach on how to set realistic goals for the season and how to achieve those set goals daily in practice (this talk will be interactive between Coach, Athlete and USA Swimming). There will be a separate talk for the high school division on Friday night (8/28) and the 8 & Unders/Novice division will also deviate slightly from the above topic on Saturday morning (8/29 @ 8am).
This is an exciting opportunity that USA Swimming is affording us by sending out Mr. Avischious and Mr. Krumm. Please make EVERY effort to make the talks as assigned by your division.
