Concerned Women Political Action Committee Endorses David Schweikert for Congress in Arizona’s5th Congressional District

David is a proven pro-life legislator who will go to Congressand continue to fight for the unborn.

Washington, D.C.– Concerned Women Political Action Committee (CWPAC) has announced its endorsement of David Schweikert for Congress in Arizona’s 5thCongressional District.

Concerned Women PAC, established in 2002 by founder and chairman Mrs. Beverly LaHaye, is affiliated with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee, the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with more than 500,000 grassroots members nationwide.

Rep. Harry Mitchell is the congressman fromArizona’s 5th District. He is running for his 3rd term in Congress. Mr. Mitchell’[s rating with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC) is poor, having voted against the CWALAC position 25 times out of 36 votes cast.

  • Rep. Mitchell recently voted against the Stupak Amendment which would have prohibited coverage for abortions by insurance companies.
  • He also voted in favor of the over all government take-over of health care, which many predict will leave our children with even more debt while causing our insurance premiums to sky rocket long term.
  • Rep. Mitchell also voted earlier this Congress for so called hate crimes legislation.
  • Mr. Mitchell has established a pro-abortion record in his short time in Congress voting in favorofdestructive embryonic stem cell research and voting against keeping the Mexico City Policy, which prohibited international ‘family planning” organizations from using tax payer dollars to promote or perform abortions.

.

“David Schweikert is a stark contrastto liberal Congressman Harry Mitchell.” said Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women PAC.

“Harry Mitchell whose voting record matched Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi over 80 percent of the time, suggests that he would prefer to listen to her than to his much more conservative district which voted for John McCain in 2008.

My hunch is that David’s personal story of adoption as a child and his strong pro-life legislative credentials will make him an irresistible choiceover a partisan politician like Harry Mitchell.”

Mrs. Penny Nance and Concerned Women Political Action Committee’s mission is to elect solid pro-family, pro-life conservatives to Congress. Concerned Women PAC sends out a monthly letter to members encouraging them to financially support candidates like David Schweikert.
