Project title: Tolerant School Environment – the basis through the Dialogue of Cultures

Project goal:formation of educated, tolerant, fully evolved Azerbaijani citizen, brought up on national traditions and universal values

Project objectives: focus on universal education, the development of intellectual and creative abilities of students, sustained motivation for learning and self-education, inclusion of students in the field of intellectual, cognitive and social activities, education leaders

Project brief description and Events expected

To form a "new humanism" in the education system, strengthen the ethical component of education, genuine tolerance in educational institutions, in particular, in our gymnasium (with a large number of students - 2300, with a multiethnic composition - 32 nationalities and diverse social composition) continue:

a) teaching additional subjects as a gymnasium component:

- Heritage (Elementary School)

- Ethics and Etiquette (5 grades)

- Optional Empowering Education (6 - 8 grades)

- Healthy Lifestyle (9 grades)

- World Artistic Culture (10 grades)

b) The development of leaders (through the school parliament)

c) interactive forms of learning (group work, pair work)

d) in order to improve and expand the communication opportunities for students to include in the curriculum of school learning several languages ​​other than the language of instruction (80% of classes are already practiced):

- in the classroom with the Azerbaijani language of instruction - English, Russian, optionally start German;

in the classroom with the Russian language of instruction – Azerbaijany, English, German;

e) Create:

debating club for students

Club "Eureka" for teachers

f) Exchange of information (through ICT), and eventually the delegations with a team of Classical Gymnasium in Riga (Latvia)
