We NEED to Hear from You

We have set classroom sizes to try and create student-to-teacher ratios that enable more of a quality education here at St. Peter. It is that time of year when parents from outside of St. Peter Lutheran School begin to inquire about the Christian education we offer and possibly indicate interest in sending their children to our school. When prospects to our school express an interest in the education offered, we want to be able to tell them whether or not we can accommodate their children. To do this, we need to hear from ALL our current families. All families with children in our school right now have first chance at reserving spots for their children to be part of the 2018-2019 school year. Starting last week, outside families have opportunities to reserve spots for their children. Thank you to all those who have returned their Commitment Forms. If you haven’t returned the 2018-2019 Commitment Form, please do so immediately. The options on that form regarding your children for next year are: will attend / unsure / will not be attending. Even if you cannot pay the $50 at this time, we still want to hear from you. If you are members of St. Peter or Immanuel and finances are tight, there is tuition assistance available. Contact the office for the appropriate assistance form. If you have any questions, please call Mr. Miller at 920-867-2200 (school) / 920-8674004 (home / or email him at .

Basketball: The Girls A and B Team games from Monday Night are rescheduled for tonight Thursday, February 22nd at 4pm at WF Middle School.

Spelling Bee: St. Peter’s annual Spelling Bee will take place Friday, February 23rd, starting around 1:10 pm in the school commons. Parents are welcome to watch.

3rd and 4th Grade Parents: Mr. Schalo sent home a permission slip with your children. Please have this turned back in by Wednesday, February 28th. No money is needed at this time just the permission slip.

Preschool News

We finished talking about the miracles that Jesus did. We watched the video, The Story of Jesus and His Miracles, from the Beginners Bible series. The children really enjoyed actually “seeing” the miracles.

4/K News

We moved onto letters Tt and Uu. After this first look at the alphabet we’ll start The Animal Pals Series.

The homework sheets are coming back and the few that have, look beautiful. Remember; don’t make a chore about doing these “homework” sheets. The sheets don’t need to be colored unless the directions say to color.

3/K News

We are cutting a lot with our scissors now. Cutting is a fine motor skill that takes a lot of practice to master. A good way to let your child practice is to cut the coupons from the flyers in the Sunday paper. Remind them to stay on the “broken” line and let them cut. We discussed at GREAT length about only cutting paper and that if you did not go to school to be a barber or a hair dresser you CAN NOT cut hair.

We are still working on our unit on shapes.
