·  Discounts on Lectionaries! - Manna Christian Bookshop will have a stall at the Diocesan Conference and will be selling the Church in Wales Lectionaries - there are no pocket books this year. Lectionaries are priced at £7.50 but Manna are pleased to offer a 10% discount on any pre-orders submitted before the Conference. Please place your order with Manna bookshop before the 11th October by emailing . In the email please include your "Name", "Church Name", "Contact Phone No" and "Number of Lectionaries" required. North Wales’ Men’s Conference – A morning conference on Saturday 4 October from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Gwersyllt Congregational Church, Wrexham. Speaker Bill Dyer will talk about “Seeing God’s Vision” and the conference will feature talks, seminars and stalls with free refreshments. There is no charge for this conference but an offering will be taken on the day.

Worship Leaders Training - Saturday 4 October at Carrog Village Hall. This is the first of a course of three and the following ones are on Saturday 18 October and Saturday 1 November. All from 10 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.

"Gift Day" – at St Mary & St Peter’s parish church, Bagillt. Saturday 4 October 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Refreshments, Cake Stall, Bathroom Stall and Raffle, also a floral demonstration and short organ recital, in aid of "New Facilities" in the Church.

Cor Merched Edeyrnion, a Welsh ladies' choir of 40 voices, will be performing a concert on Saturday 11 October at 7.30 p.m. in St Elidan's Church, Llanelidan near Ruthin. Accompanying the choir will be soloist, Sion Eilir. Over the years the choir has won the Ladies Choral Competition at the National Eisteddfod no less than eleven times! Tickets are £7. Training Together – Managing Parish Finances - Training in how to use the form of accounts required by the Church in Wales. You do not have to be a treasurer to attend – just interested in how to produce clear accounts that meet the requirements of the Parish and the Charity Commission. You can even use this format if you don’t use a computer. Tuesday 14 October 2 – 4 p.m. at the Diocesan Office, St Asaph. Contact to reserve a place.

There are some spaces available on the following courses for all those who exercise any form of leadership within the diocese e.g. Readers, clergy, evangelists, Churchwardens, PCC members. The sessions will be held at the Ramada Hotel in Wrexham – the cost is free to us (but paid for by the Province) and a light lunch will be available. The celebrated Resurrection Choir from St Petersburg, Russia, will be performing at St Giles' Church, Wrexham on Wednesday 29 October at 7.30 p.m. The programme includes Russian folk song settings as well as works by Rachmaninov, Handel and other composers. TCC Job Opportunity - Part-time administrator, 10 hours a week, Wrexham. Starting salary £15,725 pro rata (NJC Point 13 – equivalent to approximately £8.17 an hour). TCC is currently looking for a part-time administrator to join our small team based in Wrexham. The main purpose of the role is to oversee the administration of the TCC office. This includes duties such as dealing with post, data entry, answering the phone, acting as company secretary, submitting information to the Charity Commission and Companies House, doing payroll, and overseeing TCC’s bookkeeping. Celtic Harp Concert by Harriet Earis, Friday 10 October at 7.30pm in St Silin's Church Llansilin SY10 7QB. Music from the Celtic countries to include Caniad Sant Silin, (song of St Silin) discovered in a medieval manuscript. The Church is fully accessible.

The Aberystwyth Academy of Christian Discipleship is pleased to be able to offer another Momentwm course beginning on 11 October 2014. It will continue in the established form of nine Saturday schools from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month. This course builds on previous teaching but can be taken as a stand-alone course, with no previous attendance required. The subsidised price for the whole course is still only £40, but free of charge to church officials like wardens, treasurers and secretaries. Please email for further details.
