The purposes of the Safety Inventory are to:

1) assess the current physical environment of your classroom compared to established safety guidelines;

2) make as many immediate physical changes as are feasible in your classroom to promote safety;

3) document the need for important changes to the physical environment that require outside approval, funding, or work; and

4) implement knowledge of safety rules and practices among your students.

For Teachers of Students through Grade 8
