Let’s Get Ready for
Promotion/Bible Sunday
August 16, 2015
Sunday, August 16, will be an exciting Sunday for us as we begin a new school year in Christian Education. We will celebrate children moving into their next grade level for Sunday School and 11:00 Children’s Church. We will present our new Second graders with their own special Bible.
This year we are challenging the youth and adult Sunday School classes to invite friends and reach out to those who have been absent for a number of Sundays. Let’s get together and grow in God’s love!
We are so thankful for all of the teachers of all age groups who give of their time and talents to plant seeds of God’s love and grace. On the 16th, during all three services, all teachers and study leaders will be dedicated for service. Teachers and study leaders are invited to come to their regular service. You will be invited to come forward for a special time of dedication.
Pray for our congregation as we seek to grow in our knowledge of God’s Word and in fellowship with one another.
Remember to Bring School Supplies in July!!!
Wynnton UMC and Allen Temple AME join forces to support Wynnton Neighborhood School Children. Details inside.

*THE AFFIRMATION OF FAITH NO. 881 Rev. J Grantham
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and
buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at
the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the
quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the
communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the
life everlasting. Amen.

+THE ANTHEM….“Will the Circle Be Unbroken” Arr by Donald Moore
Chancel Choir
Words by Ada Habershon Music by Charles H. Gabriel
There are loved ones in the glory whose dear names you often miss.
When you close your earthly story will you join them in their bliss?
Will the circle be unbroken by and by, Lord, by and by,
In a better home awaiting in the sky.
You can picture happy gatherings 'round the fireside long ago.
And you think of tearful partings when they left you here below.
One by one their seats were emptied, one by one they went away.
Yes, the family now has parted, will it be complete one day?
