SRP #14 Display Board
Turn in Display Board (with Tag on) on Jan 25th 2012
Turn in your notebook(final research paper copy) and copy of your abstract (hard copy will be provided to you to sign and date).
Your board should be colorful, creative, and neat. Place your SRP items on the board as indicated below:
1 -Experimental Design 5 -photographs (all must have captions and citations)
2 -Literature Review 6 -Results
3 -Procedures 7 -Conclusions
4 -table/graphs/charts
Look at the sample experimental design.
Take the following from SRP 13 (revised final paper) and create your experimental design
Use the font and size (make it bigger than 12) that you like to put on the board
RESEARCH QUESTION, HYPOTHESIS (and Null Hypothesis), VARIABLES (Independent variable, Experimental groups, Control group, Dependent variable), CONSTANTS
The board should be:
- Black foam NOT white
- 91 cm (36”) to 122 cm (48”) high
- You will have a surface area depth of about 76 cm (30”), but your board can be as wide as 122 cm (48’).
- all text on the board must be at least 14 font
- no page numbers or headings on pages
- You may have a “catchy” title above your official title (must have official title)
- neat, colorful and eye-catching
- well-glued (rubber cement works well, or extra-strong glue stick)
- well-organized
- printed from a computer
- there should be no spelling errors
- No raw data (tables should have only Mean/mode, Stdev, VAR and t test/ Chi test/ McNemar)
- No pictures of people/faces including you (hands are allowed), No products showing brand names

You are allowed to display some of the equipment used for your project, especially if it is unique or you designed it. However, there are strict rules about what is acceptable or unacceptable. You can be easily disqualified if the wrong items are included. See your teacher if you have any questions.

We will work on Display boards in class on Jan 6th & Jan 10th
Please remember to bring all the revised material (SRP 10, SRP 11, SRP 12) on flash drive to class every day to work on assignments.
You will also need to bring the following material on Jan 6th & Jan 10th
- Black foam board
- Scissor
- Glue (glue sticks, liquid glue)
- Construction paper (colored) to make backgrounds for pictures/ graphs / tables / experimental design
- Thin board pieces & Velcro (optional) to make removable backgrounds
- Printed title (of the Paper), headings (such as Procedure, Lit review etc)
- Use the font that you like. Keep the size of the font bigger & appropriate for the board.
- Colored graph/data tables/ Experimental design etc (Use backgrounds)
- Colored prints of pictures (of appropriate size) with captions citations
