RCT Together - Window Of Opportunity
RCT Council have declared the following Council properties surplus to their needs. Prior to putting these properties on the open market, we would like to explore with community and voluntary organisations across RCT whether thesebuildings can be utilised as “Assets of Community Value”and deliver services which meet the need of the broader community and contributes to and addresses the key priorities laid out in RCT Council’s Single Integrated Plan “Delivering Change”, Social Services & Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014 and Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015.
We will provide a "30 day Window of Opportunity" for any community groups wishing to submit an initial expression of interest for the potential leasehold transfer of thesebuildingsfor community use.
Subject to your expression of interest you will then have up to 12 weeks to provide a fully costed Business Plan which will need to evidence that your proposals meets the needs of the community and are both viable and sustainable.
NB. The 30 Day Window of Opportunity ensures equity of opportunity and fairness to all community groups who may wish to declare an interest.

The original single storey building is constructed in pebble dashed masonry with a pitched tile roof to the main hall/toilet/office areas and a felt roof to the stage/storerooms. A two storey extension of pebble dashed block work with a pitched slate roof and clay ridge tiles containing kitchen, toilet, storage space and an extension to the main hall has been added at a later date
The premises is situated in a well established prominent location fronting Morgan Street, immediately adjacent to the Multi Storey car park and bus station and within easy walking distance to Pontypridd Town Centre.
The property comprises a semi detached building of traditional stone construction and a pitched slate roof. A small dado wall with metals railings above provide a small forecourt and access into the property, with a rear tarmacadam yard and outbuilding housing a toilet.
