Meeting Minutes
1. Call To Order/Roll Call:
Members Present: Chrysostom, Harvey, Farley, Hampton, Jackson, Miller, Rawls

3. Approval of Agenda:
Motion to approve agenda was made by Farley, seconded by Harvey and carried unanimously.
4. Approval of Minutes:
Motion to approve August 22, 2017 minutes was made by Jackson, seconded by Hampton and carried unanimously.
5. Recommendation for Funds:
Board members discussed each request for funds. Most of the discussion was focused on marketing and outgoing donation budgets. The majority of members agree that a more collaborative approach with local agencies for marketing needs should be a goal of the applicants to help reduce advertising budget expenses. The members also expressed concern about awarding ATAX funds for donation/scholarship budget items.
Motion to approve the following recommendations for funds to Folly Beach City Council was made by Hampton, seconded by Farley and carried unanimously.
1. The Folly Beach Anglers: Take a Kid Fishing Day $ 3,500.00
2. Surfers Healing Folly Beach: Surfers Healing Folly Beach Camp $ 8,000.00
3. Save the Light, Inc.: Preservation of the Morris Island Lighthouse $ 21,846.47
4A. The Folly Beach Arts & Craft Guild: 2017 Festival of the Arts $ 2,282.00
4B. The Folly Beach Arts & Craft Guild: 2018 Tides of March $ 4,270.00
5. Folly Beach Wahine Classic, LLC: Folly Beach Wahine Classic $ 7,000.00
