The organiser reserves the right to transfer players to another section if he feels it is appropriate.

All sections will be swiss tournaments: all players play in all rounds.

Prizes

First, second and third prizes will be awarded in each section and other prizes according to entry.

Clocks: Clocks may be used in all sections, at a time limit of 30 minutes per player per game; anyone unfamiliar with clocks will be given help.

Entry fee Adult/Junior sections £17.50, including £7.50 ECF fee;

ECF Silver members (or above) may deduct £7.50 from this.

Juniors only sections: £10; ECF Silver members may deduct £3.50.

If numbers are small, sections may have to be merged.

Closing Date As space is limited, entries received after Thursday 23rd November may not be accepted

Players Anyone may enter whether they live in Norfolk or not. This is an open congress.

Grades ECF Rapidplay grades apply. If a player does not have a rapidplay grade then a standardplay grade will be used. If you have neither, then (unofficial) Norfolk junior grades will apply.

Refreshments: A range of refreshments, including tea and coffee, will be on sale during the day.

Norfolk Junior Grand Prix

This tournament is the second of a series of tournaments to form the Norfolk Junior Grand Prix 2017-18. The other tournaments will be the Norfolk Junior Championships in February/March and the Norwich Junior Congress in June/July. The junior players with the most points accumulated from the tournaments will win prizes at the end of the year.

City of Norwich School is on Eaton Road Norwich, which joins Ipswich Road to Newmarket Road; the common room is at the front of the school, next to the car park.

NB This is NOT in the Sports Hall as before
