A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in honor and loving memory of Lonnie Wayne Myers.

WHEREAS, Lonnie Wayne Myers was a retired employee of IBM; and

WHEREAS, a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, Lonnie Wayne Myers proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps Reserves; and

WHEREAS, Lonnie Wayne Myers departed this earthly existence on January 12, 2014, leaving his family, friends, and an entire community in solemn mourning; and

WHEREAS, Lonnie Wayne Myers was preceded in death by his parents, T.E. and Rosa Myers, and his granddaughter, Stephanie Woolums. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Raye Wilson Myers; his daughters, Cindy Woolums and her husband, Steve, and Rebecca Smith and her husband, Eli; his grandchildren, Corey Thomas "C.T." Smith, Kayla Raye Ruggiero, Jon Ruggiero, Allison Woolums, Sarah Woolums, Amanda Woolums, and Stephen Woolums; his great-grandson, Jaxen Ruggiero; his sister, Barbara Ann Smith and her husband, Dennis; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bobby Day Wilson and his wife, Anna, and James-Harry Wilson and his wife, Carole; and many great-aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish his memory forever;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The members of the House of Representatives, both individually and collectively, hereby express their most profound sorrow upon the passing of Lonnie Wayne Myers, and extend their deepest condolences to his family in this time of loss.

Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving memory of Lonnie Wayne Myers.

Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Nancy Raye Myers, 232 Fairway Drive, Nicholasville, Kentucky 40356.
