Camstar Reports Strong Growth in Semiconductor Industry
Global Adoption of Enterprise Manufacturing Execution System
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (July 11, 2006) – Camstar, the recognized leader in Enterprise Manufacturing Execution Systems for Semiconductor Backend and Fabless Operations, continues to capture market share in the Hi-tech Industry, announcing revenue growth of 114% through Q2 of this calendar year. The majority of the revenue will involve manufacturing sites located in Asia, with concentration in China.
Camstar’s growth can be attributed to building a product that was specifically designed for semiconductor assembly, test and packaging operations. InSite for semiconductor manufacturers is a modern, configurable MES that provides significant out-of-the box capabilities and best practices that facilitate successful, rapid implementation for semiconductor backend operations. Aging legacy systems have become an inhibitor to growth, and manufacturers are keen to implement a solution with the high level of flexibility required to effectively scale manufacturing across their complex global sites.
In response to high demand, Camstar is opening a competency center in Shanghai, China to support its customers and partners in the region.
