General information

The activities organised by the sports office are both for students and personnel. Also those who are in some way linked to ÅA are welcome. The activities are not covered by any insurance, one can provide that privately. Most of the activities are held in Swedish or Finnish.Some of the activities in this sports programme are still unconfirmed. Information about those activities and sports activities in general will be found in Bullen and/or will be given at the office.

Costs

The sports fee for the academic year 2005-2006 is 8 euro for students. For ÅA personnel it is 23 euro per academic year or 16 euro for the period 01.08.2005-31.12.2005 or 01.01.2006-31.07.2006. The sports fee can be paid to the sports instructor, Carl Myrberg.There is an extra fee for basic courses, continuation courses, Kårkampen games, gymnastics, aerobics, tennis, the gym at Kåren, badminton, tai chi, squash, hydrobics, spinning, body pump, body spin, body combat, SportsGym and Motivus.

Place: Vartiovouri/Vårdberget, next to Hämeenkatu and Uudenmaankatu

Team: 4-person (outside ISASKAR there is a separate class for big sledges)

Inscription: in advance to the office or ½ hour before the start

b) Continuous and tournaments:

In some tournaments a deposit is required from each team. After the tournaments the deposit will be repaid to those teams that have not conceded a walkover. The teams that have conceded one walkover lose half of the deposit.Any team conceding two walkovers loses the whole deposit and will be excluded from the tournament.

Swimming /personnel only

For ÅA personnel there are free tickets for the following swimming halls: Impivaara (Uimahallinpolku 4), Åbo (Rehtorinpellonkatu 4), Uittamo (Kannuskatu 5), Petrelius (Ruiskatu 2) and St. Karins (Uimahallintie 4, Kaarina). In the summer there are free tickets available for Samppalinna or Kupittaa swimming stadium.
