This is your official invitation to participate in the 2012 Reunion of the Ghost Riders, and their special guests, scheduled for 2-4 Nov 2012 in Dothan, AL.

Hotel Information: We have contracted with the Clarion Inn and Suites (formerly Holiday Inn South), located at 2195 Ross Clark Circle SE, Dothan, AL. Call (334) 794-8711. Do not use the 1-800 number for Clarion. We have reserved a block of fifty rooms, a mix of king and twin doubles. Please indicate you want the “Ghost Rider” rate. You are responsible for making your reservations with the hotel. The rate for a Standard room is $65 per day, plus tax. A Suite is $87.95+. The rates are also good for one day before and after the reunion. The rate also includes two full breakfasts per day per room. The block is effective thru 4 Nov. Thereafter the rooms will be returned to open registration, so please make your reservations early, but no later than 15 Oct. Notice: Ground floor rooms are first-come-first-served!
Flight Information: If you are flying in for the reunion, please know that flights into Dothan are limited, only thru Atlanta and expensive. Other alternatives are: Atlanta, GA, Panama City, FL, Ft. Walton, FL, Columbus, GA, Montgomery, AL, Tallahassee, FL and Birmingham, AL and then renting a car. Drive times range from 1.5 to 3.4 hours. See www.ghostriders-online.org/2012Reunion/page5.htm

Thursday: Hospitality Room, Registration open. No other functions planned.
Friday: Arrivals continue. (Simulator time and other activities are being negotiated.) Friday evening will be a barbecue buffet outside by the pool. Menu will be pulled pork, ribs, chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, rolls, coffee, tea, water. Check the website for the latest schedule of events.
Saturday: Major event for this day is the Ft. Rucker AAAA 5K Run and Chili Cook-off Festival with bands, equipment displays, and lots of county-fair type activities (and tons of chili and beer!).You will need a photo ID to pass security. A Command Briefing, visits to the Aviation Museum and a group photo are also scheduled. In the evening there will be a cocktail hour with cash bar followed by dinner. Entrees are Herb Crusted Salmon and Jaeger Schnitzel (breaded pork cutlet smothered in mushroom hunter sauce), the sides will be confetti rice pilaf and seasonal steamed vegetables, along with garden salad, rolls/butter, water, tea and coffee. You must state your preference of the entrée on the registration form and we must have that completed form in hand by 15 Oct to ensure you get the meal you want.
Sunday: Memorial service. Hospitality Room closes at 1200. Normal departure day. National Peanut Festival opens.
Special Notes: Please pay attention to the highlighted dates in order to help your Reunion Committee plan and conduct the reunion. Please do not mail your reservation after 7 Oct as it will not get to us in time to process. Do not hesitate to contact Larry (‘Stache) Smith by the means indicated as necessary. If you visit Ft. Rucker in your private vehicle you must provide proof of registration and insurance as well as a photo ID for each visitor. Dress for the reunion is casual. Saturday night dress is business casual (slacks and collared shirt for the men). This is a family event and family and friends are most welcome.
