VISION AND MOTTO

Guiding Children to Succeed

Superintendent’s Message

It’s a whole new year in Grayson County Schools. It’s a time for growth, and a time of stretching ourselves in many ways. It will be a time of challenge, yet many exciting opportunities lie ahead.

With the first year of Unbridled Learning under our belts, we eagerly await the results of everyone’s efforts for our students. As we move forward, though, the payoff will be tremendous. I sense an excitement among our staff as we continue to prepare our students to enter the next phase of their lives “college and career ready”.

We have many new faces in the district this year and several transitions have been made. I am confident that these changes will bring additional quality and even greater enthusiasm to the mission of Grayson County Schools.

We have the always-challenging budget issues facing us over the next two years. Things will be lean, and we will continue to be good stewards of our finances. We have prepared for this time and I am confident we will be able to ride this wave, as well as any others that may face us.

I want you all to feel free to ask questions and be informed about our district. I believe communication is the key to maintaining a positive environment for ourselves and especially for our students. Working together with facts and answers we will be able to achieve far more at every level. We will also have a more cohesive workplace with all of us striving toward the same goal – providing a quality education that prepares all our students to succeed in a changing world.

Both the Board and I appreciate the abilities, the effort, the endless hours and the special talents each of you devote, day in and day out, as we continue to “Guide Children to Succeed” in Grayson County Schools. Have a great school year.
