President’s Introduction: Mark Koon:
Welcome and Merry Christmas. It’s beautiful and if you are still riding be careful.
- December 19th is the Children’s Christmas Party. It is 12-3 and if you would like to help be there at 11:00.
Feb 13th- Mid-Winter Party. We need lots of volunteers. There is a block of 20 rooms reserved at the Country Inn Suites. Mention SCVR when registering and there is a free shuttle to and from. Address:8350 E Point Douglas Rd, Cottage Grove, MN 55016Phone:(651) 768-7350
- American Income Life is our insurance copy. After the new year, WE will be mailing information. You don’t need to return the card, but if you do, state “I don’t want to be contacted “on it. You can sign up for extra insurance. You automatically receive $3500 Accidental Death coverage through SCVR.
- SCVR represented in Cannon Falls Holiday Parade..picture was in newspaper.
- There will be a benefit for Mike Claussen on March 12th.
- Next General Meeting will be January 10th at 12:00- American Legion in St. Paul Park
Secretary’s Report: Julie Rice
Meeting minutes are on the tables. Motion was made to waive reading of the minutes and approve as written. There was a second to the motion, it was voted on and approved.
Treasurer’s Report: Beth Franz
The financials are on the table. There is very little to report. We are in the red $610…working on getting membership dues and merchandise increased. Balance Nov 1-$71,710.00 and on Dec 1-$70,954.00
Merchandise Report: Michelle Moreno/ Wendy Holland
We have a clearance table of $5 RBR and Chili Feed 2104 shirts. There are some items 50% off or $10 off. Great Christmas presents. We need to clear out this old merchandise to make room for new. We have new beanie caps in. We need volunteers for the Donnie Smith Show and Mid-Winter Party.
Membership: Judy Gebhardt:
We are at 1162 members, the same as last year. Norm is in the lead with 27 people.
Rider’s Education: Ron Lischeid:
He was absent, but Mark informed us that we will be needing more members to fight the battle for helmet wearing next year. Helmets will be added in for Safety Apparel.
There is an Accident Scene Management Class scheduled for March 5th. It is 8 hours long. It will be at Hidden Harbor from 9-6. If you want to register, you need a check for $75 to reserve your spot. You will be given your check back when completing the class.
Dwight: There is a new safety ad campaign pushing to have helmets on. Call the State Dept. of Transportation to complain, make your voice be heard.
Road Captain:
I need someone to take over ASAP.
MN Legislative Report: Shane Murphy:
They are in recess until March 8th 2016. Road deaths are higher than they should be. Expect a fight next year.
WI Legislative Report: Dan Hren:
March 15, 2016 will be Biker Day in Madison. There are some bills we are watching. One has to do with traffic violations and making them equal for car or motorcycle. The auto cycle bill is dead-shelved.

See the newsletter on scvr.org or Facebook. We have some paper copies on the table. There were many issues that caused us to not deliver every member one in December. We are looking for someone to take over and get advertising.
Sunshine Fund: Sandra Warrington
MRF: Beth Franz:
There is a bill that the EPA and President in regards to renewable fuel and how much should be added to ethanol we are watching. The Highway Bill is on the president’s desk waiting to be signed. All items that the MRF is monitoring are located at the scvr.org website.
Todd and Dawn Riba came as guests. We are looking for a new lobbyist. We are getting ready for Bikers on the Belt Way May 12, 2016.

Member Contribution $62..it was won by Chuck and he donated it back to the organization. He and Holly believe we needed it. Thanks you two!!!
We also did some solar dancing characters and SCVR flags as door prizes.
Next General Membership meeting will be January 10th-12:00 at the St. Paul Park Legion. BOD and budget meeting.
