JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Game Day Site Manager
REPORTS TO: Director of Intramural and Club Sports
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Game Day Site Manager is aseasonal, part-time position responsible for oversight of game day site management for select home athletic events. Responsibilities include: setting up of venue, greeting visiting teams and officials, oversight of game day student staff, crowd control, problem solving and post-game break down. Most events will require at least four hours of work.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The Game Day Site Manager will be responsible for the overall management of home athletic contests in select sports. Individuals will sign up to cover scheduled home contests. Site Managers will set up the home venue for competition including, but not limited to, scoreboards, sound systems, chairs, tables and flags, some sports may require additional set up; greet visiting teams and officials/umpires and escort them to their assigned locker rooms; supervise game day staff and students and ensure all game day tasks are covered and completed; assist with crowd control as necessary and address any issues that may occur during the event; and post-game responsibilities include site break down and other sport specific duties (ticket reconciliation, etc.).

EDUCATION:
Desirable: CPR/First Aid certified
EXPERIENCE:
Desirable: Game Day management experience; knowledge and passion of St. Olaf Athletics and individual sport rules; knowledge of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and MIAC regulations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Must be available on a part-time basis, committing to the majority of games throughout the season
- Must be well organized and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and have a sense of accountability
- The successful candidate would be personable, dependable, trustworthy and possess strong interpersonal skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to move/lift up to 50 pounds, ability to be mobile.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Term: Seasonal
Shift: Regular evening and weekend hours
Sports covered include: Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Football, Volleyball, Wrestling, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Hockey, Baseball and Softball
