Aim of the meeting:

The purpose of the 3rd JIM follow-up conference is to ensure an efficient continuation of an active exchange of views on the implementation of the JIM follow-up process.

This year's conference will firstly present and discuss the second National Implementation Plan 2009-2010, which will outline the identified priorities that need to be tackled/ implemented in the mention period.

The second part of the conference will further focus on one of the crucial challenges ahead that needs to be prioritized, enhancing vertical and horizontal governance of the JIM follow-up process. To reach this aim, conference will emphasize the promotion of "top-down" and "bottom-up" approaches to improve the implementation of several needed reforms in the fields of social inclusion and social protection, and consequently to develop better mechanisms of monitoring and evaluation of the process.

For this purpose, good practices in governing the reforms in the fields of social inclusion and social protection from the Member States will be presented, namely general governance of the social inclusion and social protection reforms and governing the process of deinstitutionalisation. This conference will also give a floor to Croatian representatives of line Ministries as well as different stakeholder in order to identify the best solutions for more efficiently contributing to and being a vital/active part of the JIM follow-up process as a whole.

To ensure smooth implementation of the third JIM follow-up conference, the organisation of the event and experts from the Member States will be supported by the TAIEX assistance.
