POSITION: Seattle Preschool HUB Coordinator

PURPOSE: The Seattle Preschool HUB Coordinator is responsible for oversight of all program responsibilities of the Seattle Preschool Family Child Care HUB program.

NATURE AND SCOPE: The Seattle Preschool HUB Coordinator is a member of the Provider Service Team and reports to the assigned supervisor. This role is responsible for the implementation of the Seattle Preschool Program pilot with Family Child Cares.

RESPONSIBILITES: Specific responsibilities of the Seattle Preschool HUB Coordinator include, but may not be limited to:

Seattle Preschool HUB Coordinator Administrative Responsibilities:

·  Monitor all contract deliverables, ensuring activities to meet all outcomes

·  Budget creation and oversight, including monthly and quarterly reporting and invoicing

·  Recruitment and retention of Family Child Care Homes (FCCs) for pilot

·  Monitor FCCs compliance with SPP enrollment requirements; ensure all slots are filled

·  Establish eligibility of children and support recruitment; help families and FCCs identify eligible wrap-around funding for rest of day and summer months

·  In collaboration with Business Services, creation and implementation of subcontracts with FCCs, including responsibility for invoicing and payments

·  Monthly invoicing and reporting to City of Seattle Department of Education and Early Learning (DEEL)

·  Coordinate access to FCC homes for DEEL-contracted (third party) program evaluators

Seattle Preschool HUB Coordinator Technical Assistance Responsibilities:

·  Create communication protocols with all FCCs and (DEEL) so that communication flows reliably and in multi-directions

·  Participate in DEEL trainings on required program elements such as health screenings/child assessments and then work with FCCs to directly implement

·  Provide fiscal support to FCCS, including general accounting, invoice processing and recordkeeping support

·  Partner and coordinate with Early Achievers staff to support quality improvement in the FCCs

·  Work with DEEL staff to identify Professional Development needs of FCCs

·  Support FCCs to meet all program requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: MA degree in early childhood education, child development, public administration or social service field and 4 years related job related experience; BA degree in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, Human Services or related field and 6 years job experience; or an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and 10 years related work experience. Masters preferred. At least 3 years of management and supervision experience required. A commitment to undoing institutional racism, diversity, cultural relevancy and inclusion required.

Additional requirements include:

1.  Ability to build positive working relationships with stakeholder and external partner organizations.

2.  Ability to create and track budgets and exercise reliable judgment about spending decisions.

3.  Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and assume responsibility for completion of tasks.

4.  Knowledge and experience with Family Child Care Homes, either as coach, educator or owner.

5.  Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated experience working with the public.

6.  Possess a collaborative style with respect for diversity.

7.  Ability to work under pressure and unanticipated constraints.

8.  Intermediate level skills in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Skill utilizing databases as a user (report pulling, etc.) strongly preferred.

9.  Ability to communicate and actively participate in CCR team meetings and committees and community groups.

10. Ability to problem solve creatively and resourcefully.

11. Excellent listening skills with the ability to give and receive feedback.

12. Proven ability to work and provide leadership within a team environment.

13. Knowledge of child development and child care is preferred.

14. Flexibility to work occasional evening and weekend hours; Valid Washington driver’s license, insurance and a reliable vehicle at his/her disposal.

15. Must be able to pass a criminal and education history check.

Salary and Benefits:

$51,871.26- $64,839.08 salary range for this part time position.

Salary depends on ability to meet or exceed the above desired employment criteria.
