PAML and BloodworksNW Sign Letter of Intent to Collaborate on Innovation

SPOKANE/ SEATTLE, WA (April 30, 2015)–Pathology Associates Medical Laboratories, LLC (PAML) and Bloodworks Northwest (formerly Puget Sound Blood Center) have signed a Letter of Intent to collaborate on the delivery of specialized laboratory diagnostics and clinical services. PAML is one of the nation’s leading medical reference laboratories. A recognized leader in transfusion medicine, BloodworksNW serves patients in nearly 90 hospitals in the Northwest.

Sharing a common passion to increase the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of patient care, the two organizations will explore potential alliances in several specific areas, including:

·  streamlining test menus to enhance delivery of patient care

·  improving information system best practices

·  identifying methods for delivering value-based care, including Six Sigma program development and subspecialty consultation

·  exploring complementary service enhancements for core competencies
