Benefits of becoming a Kennel Club Listed Club

·  Your club will be associated with the Kennel Club brand.

·  Publicity through the Kennel Club database, enquiries and website.

·  Minimal club administration i.e. no need for a committee structure or a list of club members.

·  Access to Kennel Club services and free advice from the office.

·  Compliance to the Kennel Club’s Agility Code of Conduct.

·  Eligibility to enter an agility team for the Crufts Team Heats.

·  Eligibility to hold “Games shows”, “Limited shows” and “Open shows”.

·  An annual certificate of being a Listed Club.

Whether you are a sole trainer or have a group of instructors at your dog training club, becoming “Listed” with the Kennel Club is an ideal way of supporting responsible dog training and boosting your club name.

How Can I Apply?

Applications must initially include the following:

·  A statement outlining the club’s commitment to canine welfare.

·  Initial balance sheet.

·  A profile of how your club intends to run a show, should you choose this option.

·  Two supporting references; the first letter confirming the applicant(s) training experience written and signed by an experienced dog trainer i.e. Kennel Club Championship Judge, Kennel Club Accredited Trainer/Instructor. The second letter must be submitted by a local Dog Warden/Environmental Health Officer to confirm the safety and suitability of the premises/ground(s) being used for the purposes of dog training.

(the type of registration required to hold a certain type of show, the types of classes that may be held at a particular show and any additional offers)

GAMES:

·  Affiliated or Full Registration

·  Special/Games classes as defined by the club

·  ‘Certificate of Merit’ for Agility & Jumping (separate from warrant points)

LIMITED:

·  Affiliated or Full Registration

·  Special/Games classes as defined by the club

·  ‘Certificate of Merit’ for Agility & Jumping (separate from warrant points)

·  May hold up to 3 Kennel Club standard capped classes which do count towards progression

OPEN:

·  Affiliated or Full Registration

·  Standard open or capped progression classes

·  Special open or capped classes

PREMIER OPEN:

·  Full Registration only

·  Standard open classes

·  Special open classes

·  May host heats / qualifiers for finals at prestigious events

CHAMPIONSHIP:

·  Full Registration only

·  Standard open classes

·  Special open classes

·  May host heats / qualifiers for finals at prestigious events

·  May apply for Championship Status and award Championship Tickets.
