Control Freak: Don’t Freak Out!Pastor Lon Dean
Don’t Freak Out! –
God wants you to have a full, rich life
As we take stock of the health of any relationship we can’t overlook the control factor. What do I mean? Is the person using subtle or not so subtle manipulation to make you do what they want? They may be a CONTROL FREAK! What does the Bible say about dealing with control freaks?
Memory Verse:
Letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. Romans 8:6
God says, “Don’t Freak Out!”
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Philippians 4:6
Worry leads us to not trust and ultimately the need to control everything. Prayer leads us to trust and surrender.
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Isaiah 26:3
Want to trust more? Focus your thoughts on who God is.
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27
We have a choice to receive His peace or freak out!

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need. So, don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. Matthew 6:33-34
Our job is to put the Kingdom of God first and to do what is right, then Jesus will take care of the rest.
Don’t be so easily shaken or alarmed by those who say that the day of the Lord has already begun. Don’t believe them, even if they claim to have had a spiritual vision, a revelation, or a letter supposedly from us. 2 Thessalonians 2:2

You are still controlled by your sinful nature. You are jealous of one another and quarrel with each other. Doesn’t that prove you are controlled by your sinful nature? Aren’t you living like people of the world?1 Corinthians 3:3
