9:00 a.m. – Praise Eucharist (BAS)

Sunday School: (JK to High School)

on Lower Level in the Main Hall
Nursery & Preschool: Lower Level, Nursery Room

Processional Hymn: There Is None Like You

Chorus 1: We will fill up this place with Your praise. There is none like You, there is none like You,
my Friend. You are mercy and beauty and grace. There is none like You, there is none like You, my Friend.

Though this world is poor and broken still You love it so. Though our hearts are prone to wander still You seek us and You find us, calling us back home.

Chorus 2: You're the God who is mighty to save. There is none like You, there is none like You, my Friend. You're the One who has conquered the grave. There is none like You, there is none like You
my Friend.

All the wonders of creation, formed and found in You, work in us this transformation, changed from glory into glory, making all things new.

Chorus 3: We will fill up this place with Your praise. There is none like You, there is none like You, my Friend.

(BRIDGE) There is no one like You, there is no one like You, there is just no one like You. (REPEAT 4X)

Welcome and Call To Worship

Opening Prayer

Leader: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.

PEOPLE: AND ALSO WITH YOU.

Leader: Almighty God,

PEOPLE: to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hidden. Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy name; through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer of Confession:

Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbours as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us, that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your name. Amen.

Absolution

Priest: The peace of the Lord be always with you.

PEOPLE: AND ALSO WITH YOU.

Praise Song: Come, Now Is The Time

Come, now is the time to worship. Come, now is the time to give your heart. Come, just as you are to worship. Come, just as you are before your God, come.

CHORUS: One day every tongue will confess you are God, one day every knee will bow; still the greatest treasure remains for those who gladly choose you now.(Repeat from start, Chorus 2X, Verse) (Phil. 2:10)

Praise Song: The Light That Shines

Great is the love that we have been shown. Great is the mercy we have known. This gift of life we’ll share, sisters and brothers, we who the Spirit lights, bring light to others.

The light that shines for everyone, the hope of all creation, burn in our hearts the brightest flame that all may see salvation…darkness fading…daylight breaking.

Praise Song: Better Is One Day

How lovely is your dwelling place, oh Lord Almighty. My soul longs and even faints for You. For here my heart is satisfied, within Your presence. I sing beneath the shadow of your wings.

CHORUS: Better is one day in Your courts, better is one day in Your house, better is one day in Your courts than thousands elsewhere.

One thing I ask and I would seek, to see Your beauty, to find You in the place Your glory dwells.

My heart and flesh cry out to You, the living God. Your spirit’s water for my soul; I’ve tasted and I’ve seen, come once again to me. I will draw near to You, I will draw near to You. [Matt Redman, c. 1995, Kingsway’s Thankyou Music; by permission CCLI #459447]

The Collect of the Day: (said together)

Merciful God, you have prepared for those who love you riches beyond imagination. Pour into our hearts such love toward you, that we, loving you above all things, may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and for ever. Amen.

The Apostles' Creed: (said together, standing)

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Offertory Hymn: Keep On Praying

When we're in trouble, when there are cares, when faith is shaken up, when we despair, we call on Jesus, give Him our thanks. We let His peace and joy come to our hearts.

Chorus: We're gonna keep on praying, keep on praying. We're gonna keep on praying, keep on praying.

Bridge: Prayers for the nation, prayers for the world, prayers for the government, prayers for the church, prayers for the seekers, prayers for the saints, praying that people will come to faith.

When there is sickness, when there is pain, there is a healing touch each time we pray.
God always listens, cares for our needs; prayers of the righteous one have power indeed.

The Heart of Worship

When the music fades, all is stripped away, and I simply come. Longing just to bring something that’s of worth that will bless Your heart.

BRIDGE: I’ll bring You more than a song, for a song in itself is not what You have required. You search much deeper within, through the way things appear; You’re looking into my heart.

CHORUS: I’m coming back to the heart of worship, and it’s all about You, all about You Jesus. I’m sorry Lord for the thing I’ve made it when it’s all about You, it’s all about You Jesus.

King of endless worth, no one could express, how much You deserve. Though I’m weak and poor, all I have is Yours, every single breath.

(Repeat Bridge, Chorus, Chorus)

I’ll bring You more than a song (I’ll bring You more than a song) 2X You’re looking into my heart (into my heart) 2X I’ll bring You more than a song (I’ll bring You more than a song) 2X I’ll bring You more than a song. [Matt Redman, c. 1997, Thankyou Music; by permission CCLI #459447]

The Lord's My Shepherd

The Lord's my shepherd I'll not want; He makes me lie in pastures green. He leads me by the still, still waters; his goodness restores my soul.

CHORUS: And I will trust in you alone, and I will trust in you alone. For your endless mercy follows me, your goodness will lead me home.

He guides my ways in righteousness, and he anoints my head with oil, and my cup overflows with joy; I feast on his pure delights.

And though I walk the darkest path, I will not fear the evil one, for you are with me and your rod and staff are the comfort I need to know. (Stuart Townsend, c. 1996, Kingsway's Thankyou Music, by permission CCLI #459447)

Prayer After Communion:

Leader: Father, you restored us to life by raising your Son from death. May we who receive this sacrament always be strengthened to do your will, in the name of Jesus Christ the risen Lord. Amen.

People: Glory to God, whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine. Glory to God from generation to generation, in the Church and in Christ Jesus, for ever and ever. Amen.

The Blessing

Recessional Hymn: Let There Be Joy

Let there be joy, let there be peace, let there be power, let there be praise. Let there be joy, joy, in the Holy Ghost. It was for freedom that we were set free. Let every mountain be cast to the sea. Let there be joy, joy, in the Holy Ghost.

Chorus: We will declare it to the heavens, the righteousness of God in which we stand. We will proclaim it to the nations; every eye shall see, every ear shall hear, every heart will understand.

[Bruce Napier, c.1966; by permission CCLI #459447]

The Dismissal:

Leader: Go forth into the world, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit. Alleluia!

People: Thanks be to God. Alleluia!
