  1. Have changes been made in the way instructors (faculty or graduate students) teaching your core courses in humanities are trained, oriented, or supervised?

No substantive changes have been made.

  1. Have changes been made in the base syllabus for your core courses in response to assessment results?

The area head, Prof. Durham DeCesaro, augmented the content to be inclusive of the upcoming new core curriculum attributes while retaining the existing TTU Visual and Performing Arts core attributes. Changes feature Inclusion of more collaborative activity and increased exposure to global perceptions of dance.

  1. Have you adjusted the way the courses are assessed, the examinations, or the base content in the areas listed above in response to assessment results?

The assessment results for the past three years have evidenced that we are meeting our expected learning outcomes in this course. We have continued to refine reading selections and video excerpts to better provide our students with a comprehensive understanding of dance as an art form.

  1. Have you made anychanges in the way content is delivered such as adding on-line modules, improving classroom technology, using on-line quizzes or exams, making lectures available to students on-line, or flipping the classroom?

Delivery is primarily lecture with frequent small group work, including small group presentation of research. The classroom technology has significantly improved; we are now equipped with a projector and computer.

  1. Have you made any changes in how students are provided with help to improve their comprehension of the material such as on-line tutoring, face-to-face or group help sessions, etc.

Specific written instructions and guidelines for assignments have always been and continue to be accessible to students. The inclusion of group discussion and dialogue in the daily activities continues to be an effective means of increasing student comprehension of material.
