Stagiaire/Intern - Brussels office of Molly Scott Cato MEP
Molly is looking for a stagiaire/intern for her Brussels office in the European Parliament.
The role will start in September 2015 and will be for a period of 6 months.
The position provides an excellent opportunity to gain an insight into the workings of the European Parliament and to contribute to Green politics in action. You will be exposed to a broad range of issues and will contribute to the output of Molly's Brussels office.
What does a stagiaire do?
· Assisting with general office administration (handling emails, letters and phone calls; meeting arrangements)
· Making travel arrangements
· Research and responding to correspondence from constituents and lobbyists
· Drafting letters to European Commission and Government departments
· Attending and feeding back from meetings and seminars
· Assisting with event organisation
· Drafting articles for Molly's website
What kind of person are we looking for?
Someone who has:-
· Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a complex new environment
· Genuine passion for Green politics and Molly's work in Europe
· Strong organisational skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Friendly, personable manner and a sense of diplomacy
· Confidence in using a wide range of IT systems
· Is not a member of another political party
Additional assets (advantageous but non-essential):-
· Interest in Latin America
· Knowledge of South West England
· Spanish language skills
· French language skills

The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Wednesday 5th August. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview which will take place in London in the week commencing 31st August. The successful candidate will start in Brussels the week commencing 14th September.
The selected candidate will receive a living allowance of €1200 per month.
