RONNIE GAMBLE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
The Forest Lake Football Booster Club is proud to be able to help young athletes succeed in their academicpursuits in memory of former coach Ronnie Gamble. This scholarship is available to Forest Lake High School Seniors that participated in football. A scholarship is awarded to the senior athlete who best exemplifies effort, dedication, commitment and spirit regardless of position on the team. It recognizes the athlete who theteam could count on to give his best effort at practice, pitch in to help with team needs, encourage teammates to excel, but was not necessarily the star of the team or even a starter.
The applicant names will not be revealed to the Forest Lake Football Booster Club Board scholarshipcommittee members evaluating the scholarship applications and making the final scholarship selection.
The announcement for the Ronnie Gamble scholarship will be made justprior to the annual Senior Awards Night. Applicants must return completed packets to the booster club address below by deadline April 15, 2016. A Booster Board member will contact the winner.
Additional requirements for nomination:
• Be presently a senior and have participated in Varsity Football at Forest Lake Area High School.
• Plan to attend a college, university, or trade school following graduation.
• Exhibit both school and community involvement.
• Minimum 2.5 GPA.
• No athletic suspensions.
• Complete an application packet consisting of:
1.A scholarship application form.
2. One letter of recommendation from a high school varsity coach orteacher/administrator.
3. Brief summary of your career goals, special interests or hobbies, listing any honors orawards received, plus any other information that the applicant believes would offer theForest Lake Football Booster Club scholarship committee further insight into your life, values andaspirations. Please attempt to limit your response to the space provided on application.
