PD/H/PE – Gymnastics Program Term 1, 2012 for Kindergarten
As part of our Personal Development, Health and Physical Education curriculum we will again provide a gymnastics program for all students at the school.
To meet the needs of our students we have engaged the services of professionally trained instructors from ‘Activated Group’. Activated Group is an Australian leading Physical Education Company. All instructors employed for ‘Activated Group’ are qualified, insured, child protection screened and receive ongoing training specific to working in schools.
The gymnastics program will steadily progress each lesson to teach your child specific gymnastics skills whilst developing overall fitness, core strength, flexibility and enhancing spatial awareness. Programs are delivered by qualified gymnastic coaches and all equipment is transported and set up at school for each lesson. All instructors are outgoing, energetic and will have all students moving and motivated. Programs are taught from lesson plans that have been developed to meet syllabus requirements and all sessions will be held in the school hall.
The following range of equipment is provided for every program:
-8m x 7m foam floor area - Trampoline – Parallel Bars – Horizontal Bar – Foam Wedges – Rings
- Landing and Crash Mats – Balance Beam
All students participating in the program will be individually assessed and will receive a certificate showing their level of achievement.
The cost for your child to participate in this program will be $17.00. The school will be running a 5 week program for students in Kindergarten each lesson will be 45 minutes in length.
This program will commence Monday February 20 2012. (Week 5 Term 1)
All students are expected to participate in this program as it is an integral part of the PDHPE curriculum.
We request that full payment of $17.00 is paid by Friday February 24 2012.
