Selection for ‘A’ Squad
Dear Parents,
Congratulations on your son’s selection.
Please ensure that you return the Registration Form (below) by Noon on Saturday 14th October to confirm your son’s place in the squad.
Received paperwork will be indicated on the website www.southeastdistrict.co.uk No individual email confirmations will be sent, so please do check that it has been received.
The completed form can be sent by post or scan/email the form to
The ‘A’ Squads are for the most outstanding players at the trial on Sunday.
You will be contacted once the team’s schedule is available on www.southeastdistrict.co.uk No matches will take place before January.
Parents are required to purchase kit for the players, which is personalised, and the players then keep it. The kit would make a good Christmas present! Our kit supplier is launching a new website at the end of next week to allow parents to buy kit on-line and I will forward details of this website as soon as it is launched.
In addition to playing in the A Squad, players selected are given priority for places to represent England in the Gothia World Youth Cup, which takes place in Gothenburg next July. Parents will need to pay the cost of the player’s place on this trip. The tournament is an amazing experience and will include an ‘Olympics-style’ Opening Ceremony attended by over 52,000 people! You may be interested in their website at www.gothiacup.se
Parents can choose whether their son flies with the team, which will be accompanied by our coaching staff. I am unable to confirm flight details until I know final numbers, probably early November, but the team flights are likely to leave on Friday 13th July and return the following weekend.

You will find lots of information at www.southeastdistrict.co.uk including photographs from last year’s trip and a “Your Questions Answered” page. Please do read through this before contacting me with questions.
The trip is booked through Clubpin – World Youth Tournaments who are members of the Travel Trust Association (membership number U310X) and who holds an Air Travel Organiser Licence (ATOL T7196). The cost includes flights, food, accommodation in a school, transfers, transport, and tournament entry as detailed on the website.
Parents are very welcome to attend and can either book your own flights and hotel, or to use our travel agent Clubpin – World Youth Tournaments who can be contacted at
The Gothia Cup teams are based on calendar year of birth (the Gothia Cup uses the international age system, starting the academic year on 1st January). Therefore some additional players from the trial will be selected to go to the Gothia Cup. We run a Training Camp to allow the teams for the tournament to training together prior to the trip to Sweden.
The Camp will include professional training involving highly qualified coaches, workshops with a football psychologist and individual fitness, conditioning and injury prevention sessions with Chartered Physiotherapists and Sports Therapists. Each player will receive a personal and unique report and exercise programme to work on in the build up to the Gothia Cup.
If you have any questions which are not answered on the website, please contact me at
Congratulations again!
Best wishes,
Dan Abraham
