Hon - In a short paragraph, summarize your progress on the research paper so far. What topic did you pick? What have you learned about that topic so far? What challenges have you come across in your research? What is the next step you need to take in your research?

English 2:
- I will give each student a copy of their grade in my class. They will fill out a reflection sheet about their grade and also set a goal of what they want to accomplish today.
- Students will have the rest of the class period to complete missing assignments, do corrections, etc. Studetns who are completely caught up on work in the class may work on research for their papers (with my permission).
- While students work, I will conference individually with students about their research papers. Hopefully by the end of the conferences, all students will at least have selected a topic.
Honors:
- Students will sit in a circle. One at a time, students will share their progress on the research paper with the rest of the class.
- Other students can ask questions and give feedback on the topics, which will help students inform the next step in their research. This is a good opportunity for students to have questions answered and get feedback from a source other than the teacher.
