September 2016: PROPOSALS & BUDGET Prep!
· Sept 8th: Global Missions TL Orientation (8:30-10:30am, Bobo)
· Sept 9th: Global Missions TL Orientation (2:30-4:30pm, Bobo)
· Sept. 16th: Global/Domestic Trip Proposals & Budgets due to Baylor Missions in BearQuest! https://bearquest.baylor.edu/
· Sept. 28th: Fall Research Grant Applications Due http://www.baylor.edu/missions/grants
· Sept. TBD by YOU: Set up Budget meeting with *cannot advertise trip cost until this meeting has been completed!
October 2016: RECRUITMENT SEASON!
· Week of Oct 1st: Global & Domestic Applications available on BearsAbroad AND Website Launched!
· Oct 4th-5th: Missions Fair (campus-wide events hosted by BUMissions)
o Oct. 4th: Dr Pepper Hour (Missions Fair + Global Missions) (3-4pm Barfield)
o Oct. 4th: Missions Practitioner Panel (Tues 8pm, Bobo)
o Oct. 5th: Missions/Leadership Chapel: Austin Channing Brown http://austinchanning.com/
o Oct. 5th: Missions Fair @ Chapel (9-12pm) (non-Baylor missions orgs)
· Oct 17th: Global Missions Interest Meeting (Bobo, 5pm )
· FYI Oct 20-23 Fall Break Mission Trips OUT (Pray for our teams in Little Rock & Baton Rouge)
November 2016
· Nov. 17th: Last Chance recruitment during International Education Week’s Global Missions Tea & Coffee Hour (3pm, Bobo)
December 2016: keep recruiting!!!! Follow up with interested students!
JANUARY 2017: picking an All-Star team
· Jan 25th: Applications due via BearsAbroad
· Jan. 30th: TER/Risk Management Leadership Lab (REQUIRED pick one total from Jan/Feb/March) (Bobo, 2-3:30)
FEBRUARY 2017: Put the FUN in FUNdraising!
*introduce your students to: www.baylor.edu/missions/supportraising to get tips & templates to start fundraising successfully! Also info about Mobile Cause!
*ALL: In Feb/March: if you want to do a letter writing day as part of team meeting, talk with Holly/Carole and they’ll help with postage & supplies!

o *yellow fever card will not be taken up by BUMissions, but still required for Ghana, Zambia & Uganda
· April 10th: BUMissions Summit: REQUIRED for all May/June/July teams both Domestic and Global (Foster 250)
· April 12th: Scholarships Awarded
· April TBD: have you met with Baylor Health Center about vaccines or malaria meds for your site? (she can set your whole team up to get vaccines & meds at one time..even on a Saturday!)
· April TBD: Help with New Team Leader Recruitment Event
MAY 2017 The Final Countdown
· May 3: Summer Team Leader Commissioning (3:30pm, Bobo)

· June TBD: Final Itineraries Due (35 Days before Departure!) submit in your BearsAbroad Team Leader Portal
July 2017: Let’s Go! and be Transformed!
Before Departure- Submit list of overseas cell phone numbers to Holly. If cell phones will be purchased overseas, a list of cell phones must be emailed to Becky within 48 hours of arrival
· 1 Week prior to departure: Student Packets/TL Gifts/TL Nbooks/Cash Advances Ready for Pick up
· July Teams: Dates TBD!
Late July/August 2017 & beyond: Reflect, Collect, & Regroup
· July/Aug TBD: TERs due for all July Trips (no later than 7 days after your return)
· July/Aug TBD: collect stories, pictures, & videos from your team to share with BUMissions for Baylor Proud, Baylor Magazine, Development projects, & future recruitment efforts.
· August: Start Trip Renewal for 2017
· August: Work with Holly & Carole to create recruitment web & print resources
· August TBD: Host a Team Reunion/Reflection
· Aug 28th: 2017-2018 Team Leader Kickoff Event! (4-5:30, Baylor Club?)
· Sept 15: Deadline for BearQuest for 2017 Spring Break Trip (can always submit early!)
· Fall TBD: Start recruiting for 2017!
