Hello from BGSU! I hope your year is starting out great! I wanted to write to let you know what is happening in my life.
School has been going well and I am enjoying my college experience. As you may know, I am involved in a college church at BGSU called H2O Church. H2O is a university organization and church designed for college students on the BGSU campus and in the city of Bowling Green, Ohio. They have Sunday services on campus, Bible studies, and other great events.
This coming spring break, H2O is sending a team of people to Panama City, Florida to serve with a ministry called Beach Reach. Beach Reach is a one week outreach to the college students celebrating spring break on the beaches of Florida. During this eventful week, we will have many opportunities to share the gospel of Christ and pray with other students - many of whom are looking for something more than partying and self-satisfaction. These opportunities include intentionally evangelism on the streets of Panama City, offering free van rides to increase safety and engage in conversations, and finally helping serve free pancakes each morning. We will also have the chance to hear impactful teachings throughout the week and meet other college students from around the country with a similar passion to share Christ with their peers.
I am writing to ask for your help in sending me on this valuable mission trip. Would you begin by praying for the team, for Beach Reach, and for me as we bring God’s love to people in need? Also, the total cost of this life-changing experience is $_____. This includes the cost of the program, transportation, food, and housing for the week. Would you consider giving $150, $75, $35, or whatever amount is comfortable to this important mission opportunity? Spring Break starts on March 7th and I would like to have the finances raised by Sunday, February 28th.
